Billy Sticker and Dr. B.J. Hardick talk chiropractic and saving lives on this episode of chirocandy.

Dr. B.J. Hardick has dedicated his life to maximizing the health and human potential of his community. Jim Chester is a native of Davenport, IA. Home of Palmer Chiropractic College and the birthplace of the chiropractic practice. Jim is a graduate of Marycrest University with a degree in Journalism. Two years ago, he was working in Arlington Heights, IL. in a chiro's office as a traction technician at the Advanced Health Institute and then relocated to Denver Colorado where he worked for a year at Highlands Family Chiropractic in Centennial. He has recently become self employed as a full time advocate for chiropractic marketing. Since January of 2015 he has signed up over 950 new patients for numerous clinics around the Denver area.

This week Billy Sticker sits down with Dr. Otto Janke and discusses having purpose bigger than your fears.

"I didn't know what Chiropractic was, or that the philosophy of Chiropractic was already in me until I discovered it one day" says Dr. Otto Janke. "It was THAT day that I became a Doctor of Chiropractic. The schooling was really quite secondary from that point".

Janke found the definition in a book and it was attributed to Palmer College of Chiropractic. "I ran back to my apartment, called them and said 'Send me everything you have. I am coming to Palmer".
"I found my gang. My tribe. And it was like nothing I had experienced before" Janke says enthusiastically. The next year found him in Davenport, Iowa at Palmer and the rest is history. "I always knew I would go back to my hometown (Cortland, NY) to help my friends and family to be healthier. That mission has not stopped".
 
In practice since 1992, Janke now has the great opportunity to teach, coach, and lead other DCs as a coach with Chiropassion Consulting (www.chiropassionconsulting.com). "One of the biggest areas I work with Docs is their communication of Chiropractic. People will love Chiropractic if you can help them see that it is really what they want", Janke says. "I do this often with what I call 'disruptive marketing', where you reposition them mentally".

Billy sits down with Dr. Aaron Gumm to discuss his new program, Blueprint To Neuropathy. His success rate for treating  peripheral neuropathy is incredible!  Put first, here is a little of Dr. Gumms backstory...

It was by God’s grace, that Dr. Gumm DC, D.PSc ,has been led to do what he does. As a young college graduate, he was a nationally ranked college athlete, trained for the Olympic trials. His passion has always been health, wellness, and performance. He had to be an expert at an early age in order to compete at a national and global level in his sport.

Soon after graduation, his passion for health led him to pursue a career with Novartis, a global pharmaceutical company. Novarits sells pharmaceuticals, but also represented a medical nutrition division. His job was to educate hospital systems and specialty doctors about the benefits of medical nutrition versus nutrition through TPN, an intravenous nutrient delivery process. He spoke with some of the best doctors and hospital coordinators in the country regarding what was best for helping patients regain their health.

After numerous meetings and conversations he had a couple of realizations that shocked him. First, he realized that our healthcare system was not a “health” care system; it’s “sick” care system, a “disease” management system. We go to the doctor, get diagnosed with a disease or illness, then get a medication, injection, or surgery. The real reason why we have this illness is never addressed.

I was blessed to have helped Dr. Gumm write his book. Here he is, just weeks after it was published, on one of the morning news shows in his area.

 

Dr. Gumm has developed an incredible program called Blueprint To Neuropathy.  Other DCs using his program started collecting between 30-50K per month only a few months after implementing the program.  Not only that, but according to Dr Gumm, his success rate for treating patients with peripheral neuropathy is between 90-95%!

Billy sits down this week with Antonio Centeno to discuss men's style.

Antonio Centeno, the founder of Real Men Real Style.

The idea for Real Men Real Style started soon after he founded ATailoredSuit.com.  In an early effort to make his company more scalable, he tried to head off questions he knew his future clients would have by building an online library about how to properly wear suits, dress shirts, sports jackets, and other professional clothes.  What he hadn’t realized is that by building this content he tapped into the internet’s hunger for solid authoritative content that is both detailed and clearly laid out.  By creating a safe and private place where men could learn the foundations of style at their own pace, he gained a loyal following.

On this week's episode, Billy interviews Dr. Christopher Kent.

Dr. Kent is a co-founder of the Chiropractic Leadership Alliance, Co-Founder of OnPurpose, Founder of Advanced Subluxation Training, Founder of ChiroStrokeMyth, and the author of Chiropractic Insights. His passion for facilitating human empowerment led him to the chiropractic profession, where he has served as a practitioner, educator, author, lecturer, and researcher. Dr. Kent graduated from Palmer College in Davenport, IA, in 1973.

Following graduation, Dr. Kent joined the Palmer faculty. While at Palmer, he was elected president of the faculty senate and worked as a principal investigator in the research department. Dr. Kent left Davenport and moved to Florida to practice full-time. He qualified as  specialist in chiropractic diagnostic imaging, was named a Fellow of the College of Chiropractic Imaging, and completed visiting fellowship programs in magnetic resonance imaging. He also served as an associate professor at Palmer-West in California.

Acknowledged as one of the brightest minds in chiropractic, Dr. Kent returned to New Jersey in 1990 to continue the in-depth research on surface EMG that he had started several years earlier with colleague and friend, Dr. Gentempo. His vision was to develop technologies that would objectively demonstrate manifestations of nerve interference and ultimately provide certainty for chiropractors and their patients. Along the way, Dr. Kent was recognized as “Chiropractic Researcher of the Year” in 1991 by the International Chiropractors Association (ICA). He was also named ICA’s “Chiropractor of the Year” in 1998. In June 2001, Dr. Kent was elected Chair of the United Nations Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Health Committee, the first chiropractor to hold that office. In 2007, Dr. Kent was honored with the first Lifetime Achievement Award bestowed by Life University.

For over 35 years, Dr. Kent has been committed to developing improved clinical strategies, and securing the future of chiropractic. An attorney as well as a chiropractor, Dr. Kent is a member of the California bar. Dr. Kent’s ability to integrate the philosophy and science of chiropractic is legendary.

Billy's first introduction into the world of internet marketing was through a book by Robert Allen called, Multiple Streams of Internet Income.  It was in that book that Billy first heard the name, Yanik Silver.  In this episode, Billy sits down with Yanik Silver to discuss building an evolved enterprise.

Yanik Silver is an entrepreneur, author, and well-known digital marketing expert.  Yanik is the founder of Maverick Business Adventures, an invitation-only club for high net worth and adventurous entrepreneurs.

Yanik came to the United States at the age of two, when his parents emigrated from Russia. He began by selling medical equipment for his father's College Park, MD medical supply business at age 14.  In 1998, Yanik undertook his first entrepreneurial venture: a $900 marketing course for cosmetic surgeons. By the time he was 26, he was making $10,000 to $15,000 a month teaching physicians how to improve their sales.

Yanik used $1,800 of investment capital to launch "Instant Sales Letters," a Web 1.0 service that provided writing templates for sales letters. According to Forbes, he's produced more than half a dozen seven figure online businesses since then.

Yanik, a self-described "adventure junkie," founded Maverick Business Adventure (MBA) & Maverick 1000 in 2008. MBA mixes high-thrill adventure and intimate entrepreneurial networking. The group is invitation only, and entrepreneurs worth or earning more than $1 million are eligible. The cost to join is $15,000.

The club has scuba dived off Iceland's Silfra Ravine, been off-road racing with Jesse James, annually spend a week at Richard Branson's Necker Island, had simulation dogfights in World War II–era planes, and featured sessions with Tony Hawk, John Paul DeJoria,  Jesse James, and Sir Richard Branson. MBA is also a philanthropic organization and Yanik says he has "a goal by 2020 of getting 10,000 young entrepreneurs aged 13–23 to start their own companies.

Today Billy is joined by Dr. Matt Hubbard to discusses 3 keys of a successful chiropractor.

Billy Sticker sits down this week with Mile High Chiro founder, Dr. Daniel Knowles.  Dr. Daniel discusses rediscovering your chiropractic purpose.

Dr. Daniel Knowles, who is known as Dr. Danny, developed the Mile High Movement, after years of experience as a successful chiropractor, consultant, mentor and teacher. He has been running his own chiropractic practice since 1997. After graduating from New York University with honors in 1992, he attended Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic, graduating in 1997 with a Doctor of Chiropractic and a Clinical Distinction Award.

From 1997 through 1999, he ran a chiropractic practice in Spartanburg, South Carolina. In 1999, he moved to Boulder, Colorado, setting up his highly successful Network Family Wellness Center. In the last dozen years, he has served thousands of patients. Also in that time, he has been a member of and/or served as an officer of numerous regional, national and international chiropractic organizations.

He serves on the Sherman College of Chiropractic Board Of Trustees (2011 to present) and is a member of the Colorado Chiropractic Association (2007-Present). As a member of the Colorado Chiropractic Wellness Alliance (2001-2009) he served as Chairman of the Board of Directors from 2002-2006 and is a Board of Directors Member. He is also a member of the International Federation of Chiropractors and Organizations (1993-Present) and World Chiropractic Alliance (1996-Present).
